BTG needs church groups, civic organizations, families or large groups to serve meals on Saturdays. Each group should be 8 to no more than 10 people. Setup is at 9:30 am, and most groups are finished by 12:30.

Clothes-Processing Volunteers

Volunteers are needed daily for any portion of their work day (Monday – Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm, 670 Jefferson Street location). Volunteers set their own hours. Help is needed for processing clothes in their air conditioned warehouse. Mature teen volunteers are accepted when accompanied by an adult. Tutors Needed

Be part of the change in a child’s life. We are looking for tutors who will bring their unique abilities to bring change through educational, social and inspirational skills to help a child at any age realize that they are important. Math can be difficult at any age. We are looking for the right person who will dedicate one hour a week to help a child succeed in math. Literacy is vital to a child’s success. Reading and comprehending what you are reading is a must in today’s world. We are looking for the right person who can give one hour a week to help a child read and love it. All tutors/mentors must have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning.

CASA Volunteers

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained community volunteer appointed by a judge to speak up for the best interests of an abused, neglected or abandoned child involved in a juvenile court dependency proceeding. Bringing urgency to a child's needs, both in and out of a courtroom, CASA volunteers advocate for safety, permanence and well-being for children through independent recommendations and acts as advocates for the children.

Volunteers Needed

Newnan Coweta Humane Society needs volunteers to foster dogs and cats, transport dogs to and from vet appointments, and dog walkers at our boarding facilities. We need people who are willing to fundraise. We need people willing to help trap feral/stray cats and transport to be altered, then back to the place of origin.

Goodie House Food Pantry: volunteers are needed to sort and shelve donated
food and help senior residents with food selections. Tuesday-Friday, 12:30-
3:00pm.


Graceland Thrift Store sorters: Hours are flexible Mon.-Sat. Volunteer
needed to sort through donations to be priced and sold in the store. Your
volunteer services promote the sale of donated items and all proceeds go
directly to The Children’s Village at Christian City.

Spiritual Care helpers: Hours and positions vary. We need Bible study
teachers and helpers, worship service volunteers, and people to visit our shut-in
senior residents on the campus.

Information Desk Receptionist: Monday – Friday, 9:30am –
4:00pm. Minimum 2-hour shifts. Volunteer receptionist will greet and direct
visitors to the appropriate departments.

Do you find it easy to care for others? Do you enjoy listening to stories? Volunteering with hospice might be for you. Our patients need volunteers who will provide companionship and their caregivers need short-term respite. The Bloom Closet: Bloom provides free clothing and essentials to foster kids in a fun, boutique-like setting. Last year, at the Bloom Closet, we served over 2,000 foster children from 60 Georgia counties! Foster parents drive for miles to get to The Bloom Closet because it is such a unique service and is so desperately needed.

Summer Camp Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers for our summer camp program, Our program will begin on June 5th & End on July 28th. We will operate Monday through Friday from 10am -6pm. Our daily actives will include serving the campers breakfast, lunch, and a snack. We will monitor and assist campers with different summer actives & games. There will be between 10-20 campers per day between the ages of 7-12 years of age.We welcome high school students that my be interested to apply.
